Dear Doulas,

Last year I had a fantastic time learning about what it takes to get nitrous oxide as an option in U.S. hospitals.  It was so complicated that my head was spinning.  It really is true that everyone in the system has to be interested in increasing birth options in order for them to happen. Change is difficult but with an enthusiastic champion in a position of power, it can be done.  

Later this week I'll be directing you to an interview I did with one such champion here in Wisconsin.  She'll discuss the challenges she faced in getting the program going and her data on patient use in the first few months of the program.  

I'll include a pdf page of highlights from the interview just for Doulaing The Doula newsletter subscribers!
