Tamara Thompson will be starting her Foundations of Doula Practice Coaching Group Monday evening, April 3 at 7:30 p.m.

Registration will open March 4!

Cost is $500.00

Our curriculum has been specifically crafted to use your own creativity and resources to bring success your way. Groups meet every three weeks for nine meetings, plus you get an hour one on one with Tamara at a time of your choosing! There's time built in to discuss birth stories or ask for help with clients.

Foundations of Doula Practice covers these topics:
Week 1: Who Am I? Who Is Supporting Me?
Week 2: Getting Out of My Own Way and Who Are My People?
Week 3: What is my Vision for My Doula Practice? What is my Purpose?
Week 4: How Am I Compensated? What are my Rewards?
Week 5: How Will People Know What I’m Doing? Getting the Word Out
Week 6: How will I Organize Everything? How Do I Implement my Plan?
Week 7: Beginning The Client Relationship
Week 8: Doulaing in Times of Grief and Loss
Week 9: Creating A Team with Medical Staff; Revisit Your Vision

Plus A One on One Meeting with Your Coach: Anytime!

I spent months designing the curriculum! It includes my wisdom from years teaching psychology of human relationship courses. You also receive a copy of the Doula Business Guide Workbook by Patty Brennan; Birth and Attachment by Myrna Martin; and a thirty page workbook for the course.

ANYONE who has taken a doula training can take Foundations, even if they weren't trained by Doulaing The Doula! Yes, we want ALL doulas to be successful! So tell your doula friends!

Why Tamara Thompson?

Tamara Thompson has been a doula for eight years, is the mother of seven children and is returning from bereavement leave to spread her wisdom among other doulas! She is a member of Maroon Calabash in Milwaukee, and is a founder of the Harambee Village Doula Program in Madison. Her doula business is Mother Earth Doula Services, and she has been an informal mentor to many. Tamara is especially interested in helping Black doulas in Wisconsin to be successful.
