What about me makes me a great online learning investment?
I
spent thirty years teaching adults.
Students sponsored me for teaching awards.
I took my first class in how to teach online in 2011!
I love learning and sharing.
I love breaking down complex thoughts and ideas so they can be useful to people.
I'm entertaining, charismatic, authentic, and inspiring. Or so I'm told by my students!
My purpose on the planet is to take all the reading I've done, connect these ideas and create useful knowledge. That's what my Research Fellowship at the University of Wisconsin Madison School of Human Ecology is all about.
Who your instructor is
and what attitudes they bring to a course matters a lot. Every instructor brings the whole of themselves - their opinions, values, and background. My goal is to be accepting of all people's identities and not assume ability. I address people in all power levels in a system and all different professional roles. Every course includes a section on Implicit Bias that's useful in your unique role with families.
Social change comes about through knowledge.
Human healing comes about through authentic connection between two brains.
So whether your goals are big or small, I'm the
educator for you.
If you want the deep description of my accomplishments, here you are:
