There’s so much more to doulaing a family than being at bedside in labor. Think about all of the other important services parents value in their doula (informed listener, birth planner, confidant, resource finder, referral maker, "walking encyclopedia of birth", remedies for pregnancy discomforts, a mothering touch, etc). Concentrate on those in
your doula service package and target clients.

Our Powerful Prenatal Relationships class is debuting next month. It prepares you for becoming an indispensable resource for families – even if you never meet in person. Part of the course will cover virtual visits, understanding the biology of the brain, and how to make up for the lack of physical connection in building trust and
intimacy.

Doulaing virtually can be done anywhere at anytime. One of our winter alumni in a southern state was the doula for a client in Minnesota. The Minnesota client was so excited about virtual doulaing herself that she finished our training in the fall!

Let me help you see doulaing in a new way and a new light by taking the Doulaing The Doula Birth Doula Training Workshop again. Forty percent of the training content is new! By taking it in the online format, you can witness and evaluate what I do to connect people virtually as well as brush up on your doula skills. Alumni from 2019 will have their eligibility expire in 2022. All DTD alumni get a reduced price for retaking the workshop, usually about half the cost. I can honor this offer for all alumni retaking a training who apply for our certification program!
